OUR MISSION

At the Redding Performing Arts Center, our Theatre for Young Audiences” (T4YA) program is dedicated to sparking the imagination and fostering a love for theatre in children. Through engaging, age-appropriate performances crafted by talented adults, we create magical experiences that inspire wonder, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

Our vision is to be the premier performing arts center that cultivates young minds through the power of theatre.

Our Upcoming Shows

Theatre for Young Audiences’ inaugural season. Our exciting new program features musicals and plays designed to capture and inspire the imagination of children. Redding Performing Arts Center is proud to bring these stories to young audiences.

Hare and Tortoise

Meet two competing friends in this fantastic adaptation of Aesop’s fable. Hare and Tortoise is a story about opposites, friendship and being present in the moment. From sun-shining spring to snow-falling winter, this much loved story is a heartwarming adventure filled with laughter, suspense, and wonder.

Maddi’s Fridge

Join Maddi and her friends on a heartwarming journey of kindness and friendship. When Maddi discovers a secret about her friend’s fridge, she learns that helping others is the coolest adventure of all. Packed with giggles, friendship, and plenty of fun, this play will warm your heart and leave you smiling.

Mouse on the Move

Nellie and Amelia are two adventurous mice ready to explore the world beyond their little mouse-hole. They decide to go to the moon, since it is cat-free and made entirely of delicious, mouth-watering cheese. Get ready for a squeaky adventure as our little friends explore the big, wide world. With funny sounds, cute friends, and lots of surprises, this play is perfect for everyone who loves furry critters and big smiles.
